As you read this list you may find that in times throughout your life you have called Jesus one of these names. You may have even seen him perform or characterize himself in one of these descriptions of who he is. Of course there are many more and many we could probably think of our selves. (Which might be a good thing to do sometime. Make a list of the names of Jesus, or better yet if you have children have them think of some names of Jesus.)

Calling Jesus other names beside the common everyday ones are just another way we can recognize how much more powerful and complete he truly is.

Of course the world has there own names they give Jesus. None of which are on my list. Neither are any of the world's names worthy of his name. It just shows us how people in the world disrespect and dishonor the name of Jesus. Too frequent for my ears. As believers though it is our job or shall I say "Purpose" to encourage the correct usage of Jesus' name!

I would like to share my children's names and definitions with you. Solely b/c I love their names and b/c just sharing their names is a testimony of God's word.

Phinehas Caleb- Phinehas was a High Priest. He was the son of Eleazar ( the son of Aaron). He was credited for turning God's anger away from the Israelite people.
Numbers 25:7 -13 When Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, saw this, he left he assembly, took a spear in his hand and followed the Israelite into the tent. He drove the spear through both of them- through the Israelite and the woman's body. Then the plague against the Israelites was stopped; but those who died in the plague numbered 24,000.
The Lord said to Moses,"Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, has turned my anger away from the Israelites; for he was zealous as I am for my honor among them, so that in my zeal I did not put an end to them. Therefore tell him I am making a covenant of peace with him. He and his descendants will have a covenant of a lasting priesthood, b/c he was zealous for the honor of his God and made atonement for the Israelites."
Caleb was one of the good spies who were sent to check out the land of Canaan.

Shaphan Joshua- was a scribe in the court of King Josiah. He was credited to turning the heart of the King back to the Lord after reading to him from the scrolls. 2 Kings 22 , Actually the whole chapter is only 20 verses long. It is really informative concerning how Shaphan read the book of the law and then read it again to the King. (It just shows us that read God's law is a very powerful thing.) After Shaphan read to the King, the King tore his clothes b/c he was so disgraced by the generations before them who weren't living according to the law of God.
Joshua was the other good spy and who has his own book about how God used him to lead the Israelite people.

Ezra Michael- Ezra of course was a prophet with his own book. He lead the second group of exiles back and was unashamed to speak the truth to the people to encourage them to live righteous lives. Actually the best reference to Ezra isn't in his book. But is found in Nehemiah 8:5-6 Ezra opened the book. All the people could see him b/c he was standing above them, and as he opend it, the people all stood up. Ezra praised the Lord, the great God, and all the people lifted their hands and responded, Amen! Amen! Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.
Michael was an angel of the Lord who was sent to speak as God's messenger.

Othniel Roman- Othniel was a Judge. Actually he was the first judge of Israel. He ruled for 40 yrs. His story is found in Judges 3:1-11 he was Caleb's brother and also married Caleb's daughter b/c he conquered an enemy and the prize was Caleb's daughter. (Judges 1:12-13).
Roman is name that means strength and there is a book in the NT called "Romans".

Casiphia Joy- Casiphia was the name of a town in the book of Ezra. Ezra 8:17 and I sent them to Iddo, the leader in Casiphia. I told them what to say to Iddo and his kinsmen, the temple servants in Casiphia, so that they might bring attendants to us for the house of our God.
Joy is a fruit of the spirit. (One many people seem to be lacking in.)

Jehosheba Peace- Jehosheba was the daughter to Athaliah and the sister to King Ahaziah. She was married to a priest named Jehoiada. In 2 Chronicles 22:10-12 when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to destroy the whole royal family of the house of Judah. But Jehosheba the daughter of King Jehoram, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes who were about to be murdered and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. B/c Jehosheba the daughter of the King Jehoram and wife to Jehoiada the priest the sister to Ahaziah, she hid the child from Athaliah so he could not be killed. He remained hidden in the temple of God for six years while Athaliah ruled the land.
Peace is a fruit of the spirit.(Exactly what her personality is peaceful.)

Names are very important. If it were not so God would not have so many in which we can use to call out to him. I for one do have my absolute favorite. It is found in Exodus 3 : 14 God says to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you."

Above all Jesus is God's son and they are one in all. So if God is "I AM" then so is Jesus. I am so glad to be serving the one true God. The "I AM GOD of all things " God. Praise be to God the Most High!

What is in a Name? Part 1

Just a few thoughts about names and what is really behind a name? I for one believe that God knows my baby or little one better than I do. After all in Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you." So if God knows my child then he can guide me to a suitable name for my child.

A name is a peculiar thing. It will remain w/ a person until they either marry, or until they die. I for one believe there is a personality definition that accompanies a name. A name is usually the first thing people hear from you after they shake your hand. When you need to sign a document you sign your name. When it is your birthday friends and family will sing to you with your name in the song. Your name if it doesn't describe who you are eventually does become who you are.

After all Jesus has the most powerful name of all. In Philippians 2:9-11 "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Wow! Now that is powerful. Of course none of are names will be as powerful or descriptive as Jesus name is. However we can bestow on our children names that are strong and courageous and have a powerful force behind them. Mostly b/c of where they come from or what their meanings are.

With all of our children my dh and I took a serious thought into what we should name our unborn child. Of course these days we have to think about popularity and the commonness of the last name. Also is the name or list of names really a fit for the personality of the child or even the personality that we want for our child.

I am blessed to have been able to birth 6 individuals (so far, would welcome more if the Lord chooses). My dh and I have prayed continually over the names we have picked for our unborn child. If it really the best choice of a name we can find. We are so thankful that we have trusted and followed the guidance the Lord has provided. Our children are not only what their names are described or defined as but their personalities are also depicted by their name.

Sometimes though a person will end up with nicknames not at all related to their given name. Friends or family members will give a shortened version of the given name or just give a pet name they personally call the person, ( on a intimate level).

We however can call Jesus many names, either on an intimate level or b/c they are descriptions of his given name. Such as : Wonderful Counselor, Great Physician, Shepherd, Almighty God, Redeemer, YahWeH , Alpha and Omega, King of Kings, Messiah, Sovereign Lord, Prince of Peace and the Everlasting Father. All are descriptions of Jesus character and who he is and continues to be. No other name can compare to HIS name.

Thank you Heavenly Father for giving your son such a wonderful name!

Faith, a firm foundation....Isaiah 7:9b "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all".

Faith is a powerful thing. In scripture we can find many examples of how having faith in God, played a huge roll in the lives of those in both the Old and New testaments. One such example is found in Isaiah.
In Isaiah 7 we find king Ahaz struggling, due to two other waring nations on the verge of attacking Judah. Ahaz and the people of Judah were shaken in their faith, like trees shaken in the wind. Isaiah is told by God to tell Ahaz to be careful and be calm and to not be afraid. But still Ahaz is concerned. God then speaks to Ahaz and refers to the two nations, and in future generations they will be "shattered people". Due to their lack of faith those two nations about to attack Judah, will eventually through generations to come, no longer be powerful forces. The Sovereign Lord tells Ahaz that these other nations do not stand in their faith, and b/c of that they will fall apart. Hence by their lack of faith Ahaz and the people of Judah need to do the opposite; Isaiah 7: 9 "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all."

So as believers today, we should do the same. Stand firm in our faith, and if we don't then we will not be able to stand at all. I for one don't know how anyone can stand without faith in God. In fact, my faith in God is so important to me and plays a role in my life it is almost, if not as important to me as breathing. I cherish my faith so much, that I want to share it with so many other people.

Of course there are other examples of what kind of faith we should have. Like the woman with the bleeding for 12yrs, after one touch of Jesus' garment and after turning to her he says, "Woman your faith has healed you." Or how about how much faith we need. Like the amount of faith of a mustard seed, Mathew 17:20 He replied, "B/c you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." I remember as a child, one of my sisters having a necklace with a clear locket like thing attached to a chain. Inside the locket was a very tiny yellowish seed, so small it was even hard to see with the human eye. It sure does give a visual to how much Faith we are to have.

Other instances in the New Testament we are told that "the righteous will live by faith" Romans 1:17. Also in 2 Corinthians 5:7 "We live by faith not by sight."

Of course who can forget my two favorite sources of faith statements which are found in Hebrews and James. Hebrews devotes chapter 11 to faith and the things concerning faith. Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." That by faith the world was made by God and not out of something visible. Then also in Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, b/c anyone who comes to him must believe that he exsists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Also in James 2:26 "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."

Possibly with out a doubt the best example comes from Jesus. In John 20 :24-30 the disciples share their experience with Thomas, who was absent the first time Jesus appeared to the disciples. (verse 25) After they recall, "We have seen the Lord!" Thomas replies," unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and my hand into his side, I will not believe it". Later when Jesus arrives again, Thomas is present and witnesses the scars on Jesus. (verse 28 & 29) Thomas said to him,"My Lord and my God!" Then Jesus told him, " Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." Meaning those who have FAITH with out the proof of really seeing Him.

I do feel blessed to be a believer. It is by the trust or faith we put in God, that makes us capable to receive the great reward. That reward being an everlasting life with Jesus and God in the father's Mansion, the place Jesus has gone to prepare for us. Just as in John 14 " Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

One of my favorite passages and chapters John 14 and John 15. I find so much comfort in those two passages alone. Knowing that Jesus is a man of his word and I am a part of something greater than myself. When I became a believer it no longer became all about me, but about Him and the purpose in which he has created me and all of us for. The purpose of living for him and teaching others his word and encouraging others to believe in him as we have believed.

Knowing truthfully, that Faith is more powerful than any weapon, more valuable than any amount of money, and more precious than anything imaginable. Actually faith is freeing. Freeing to the mind that we are living a truthful life, freeing to the spirit that we are pleasing our Lord, and freeing to the body b/c as most people are living and believing this is thee life, we are not living for this life but for the LIFE to come.

One last thought, actually a story where my faith in God was strengthened. I was in my final weeks in my 4th pregnancy and my midwives were concerned for my delivery. My unborn child was in a peculiar position and would not be able to be delivered if he/she didn't move. Well we tried many techniques to encourage movement and nothing really seemed to work. I even had a doctor try to manipulate the baby into moving with no success. It wasn't until my dh and I prayed for guidance and scheduled a c-section, that God showed us his faithfulness. We prayed in Faith knowing God would answer us according to his will. Sure enough on a Sunday none the less our little one turned into the correct position and the c-section could be avoided. Then 9 days later I was able to have the home birth I had been planning for.

My last thought of encouragement comes from Philemon 1:6 "I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ." I hope that this is encouraging and uplifting to everyone who reads and who lives by Faith in Jesus Christ.

FORGIVENESS. We all need it, so we should all be generously giving it to others.

As a mother I am continually teaching my children to be forgiving. In many situations an opportunity will arise and they will be challenged, how to handle the wrong against them. I have noticed it seems to be easier for children to forgive than for adults. I am sure it is b/c we are set in our ways and count the wrongs done against us. As adults we have practice holding grudges and storing up bitterness and resentment.

Children however, are not as hardened in their spirits. That is why in Mathew 19;14 But Jesus said," Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." As innocent and untainted by the world children are quick to love and forgive.

Saying "sorry" though should require just more than words but feeling and acting remorseful for our behavior. That is what this mom is trying to do, and seeing some evidence of success.

I am reminded of what I read a few days ago. In 1 Corinthians 13, we all know it as the "Love" chapter in the bible. As I was reading it I realized areas that revealed to me how I fail at truly being perfected in God's love.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8a Love suffers long and is kind, love does not envy, love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

I know as I have been teaching my children to forgive, I must be the best teacher and by my example show them how to forgive. Even in the Lord's Prayer, Jesus gives us the example of how we should pray and what is expected of us. In Mathew 6:14 Jesus says,
"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."

We require forgiveness b/c we in Romans 3:23 "for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Since it is b/c of the sin in our lives we need God to forgive us. Not that we should be currently sinning. Just like Paul mentions in Romans 6:1-2 "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace should abound? Certainly not! How shall we who have died to sin live any longer in it?

As Christians we need to realize that sinning should not in be in our lifestyle of habits. In fact we should try everyday NOT to sin. But become more focused in living righteous lives and showing forth God's perfect Love and Forgiveness.

The Lord's Day; Psalms 118:24 This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Many Christians call Sunday, the "Lord's Day". Referring to the day of the week that is deliberately set aside to worship the Lord and fellowship w/ other believers. Although their is no direct command or example in the bible to worship on Sunday.
However, in the Old Testament our example was God, as he took a Rest on the seventh day after Creation. Then in the New Testament we follow Jesus' example of his Resurrection Day, or other wise known as the "Lord's Day". Properly coined after Jesus resurrected on that day of the week, thus named after Him.

Now in the Old Testament there are different references to honoring.God on a certain day of the week. Most commonly known as the Sabbath day or the day of Rest. In the Old Testament, the Israelites were guided by the Old Covenant. As in the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, by keeping it holy. In the Old Covenant the Sabbath Day was guarded as the Day of Worship. Which they followed pretty strictly. The Sabbath day was considered the most sacred day. In fact, even Jesus was criticized by the Pharisees b/c he healed a man on the Sabbath day. Just as in Mathew 12:9-14. Jesus was asked if it was even lawful to heal on the Sabbath? Which he replied, in verse 11: "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath." Now in the Old Testament there are different references to honoring God on a certain day of the week. Most commonly known as the Sabbath day or the day of Rest.

As Christians under the New Covenant we have claimed the Lord's day not Saturday but Sunday. Usually it is Sunday, the day of the week that we set aside to Worship and show reverence to God. You may be aware of liberties in Christ or freedoms in Christ. Well this is one of those areas where there is plenty of freedom.

For many of Christians it is a common routine to attend or worship every Sunday or Lord's Day. Even on vacation many Christians will seek a church body to fellowship and worship w/ b/c the Lord's Day is so important to them.
Where as with some they can worship on the Sabbath or Saturday instead of Sunday. There is nothing wrong with that. In fact it is more practical for some to do this. Some churches share the buildings w/ other congregations so they split the times of worship so both groups can worship. One may have the Saturday evenings for worship while the other has the regular Sunday worship schedule. No matter when worship takes place, our example is in Psalms 95:6-7 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker, for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.

The main thought is either service time is acceptable. It is the believer's freedom to worship whenever they choose. The importance is to worship. What ever day or time is flexible. Worshiping God is of great importance. John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.

Some may wonder is there an example of how we should worship? Well just as in John 4:24 previously states, we should worship in spirit and in truth. Just as long as our worship is from our hearts, and is a sincere act of reverent service. God is pleased. In Psalms 100:2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs, KNOW that the LORD is GOD.

Lastly, one great way to teach children and new believers to worship God is through songs. There are so many wonderful songs taken right from scripture. Those songs and other hymn songs are powerful tools to enhance and encourage a worship that will draw believers to the Saviour.

Here is Proverbs 8:10-11 Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Now the chorus that is based upon that verse; Lord you are:
Lord you are more precious than silver, Lord you are more costly than gold, and Lord you are more beautiful than diamonds and nothing I desire compares with you.

Hoping today was a wonderful Lord's day! By praising and worshiping the LORD, we strengthen our hearts and minds in a deeper love and relationship to Christ our LORD.

Don't you KNOW what causes CHILDREN.

Why have Babies?

Why have children today in this modern generation? lsn't the world overpopulated? Not really. If every man, woman and child would each stand in one square foot area, the whole world's population would fit in the city limits of Jacksonville, Florida.

But what about all the trouble babies cause? Babies need endless diapering and feeding. Babies don’t sleep all night. Babies are just a nuisance, especially after two of them. Most women have their own lives to live and babies/ children just don't fit in. Most women would rather be in the work force, meeting people, supervising men and doing their own thing.

The JOYS of having and raising babies/children has far greater rewards then the everyday tasks. There is the JOY of seeing a new born baby; the JOY of children laughing over a birthday cake, the JOY of that first experience on the bicycle, the JOY of your teenager receiving their driver's license, the JOY of your child walking down the wedding aisle, and the JOY of Grandchildren sitting upon your knee.

Who can bear children? There is only one species on the planet Earth, and her name is called woman. When God created Adam and Eve, HE said, " ... be fruitful and multiply..." Genesis 1:28. If God would have created Adam and Ernie they could not multiply. If God had created Amy and Eve they could not have multiplied. God created Adam (male) and Eve (female) right from the beginning to multiply.

If you are married, can you say that you are fruitful? It would be terrible if trees, plants and vines only bore one or two pieces of fruit and then just wanted to enjoy the garden for themselves alone. If this were to happen, the unfruitful tree or vine would be destroyed. Will God destroy you for being an unfruitful woman in HIS human vineyard, the earth? Human beings are the only creature capable of planned self sterilization. Are you fruitful or will you be destroyed by God?

Women no longer have a heart and love for children. Women don’t want to do their natural duties (having and caring for babies). Women want to become men, either equal to or superior in home, work, authority and government. Women have so educated the men of today, that they no longer desire marriage. So the few real women which would like to marry and raise a family are either told to go to work by their husband (to enjoy life more) or stay single for lack of a good husband. Many men just flat have no interest in the responsibilities and commitment of marriage because they are already enjoying all the benefits of marriage with some Jezebel without any responsibility or commitment. Once women become men, they are no longer needed in the home. Some have even made their man a house-husband so she can remain “out of the home” at work in the man’s role. These ladies really hate the inconvenience of children. They rather be a run around at the office and soon divorce and remarry. The divorce rate directly follows the rate of women in the work place with men.

Some men therefore, no longer look for a woman as a helpmate (wife), because women have become a threat to their manhood. What happens next? Men then look to other men for companionship instead of Women. And the frustrated woman rejected by men turns to women. It’s no secret that Sodomy is growing today, because people have rejected God’s design for the home and reproduction of the human race. And you guessed it - - WOMEN - - are a root cause"! It started in the Garden of Eden when Eve first lead the first man to complete ruin and lose with God.

Have you ever asked men what they want in a woman? They like quiet and submissive women. Not loud mouth rebellious women. Head strong, bossy, demanding, rude, over-bearing, MAUDE. They like feminine women (in the true sense) who dress like ladies in dresses and have not cut their glory off (long hair). Men do not want women who wear the pants, or men's suits and whacked off hair like men. Men like home-cooking not T.V. dinners or fast food all the time. Men want a woman to listen to them and not try to compete all the time in work, raising the children, and making decisions.

God says, "Children are an heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is HIS reward." Psalms 127:3. This means children are a blessing or inheritance from God. Good health and finances are all blessings from God too. Yet I have never heard anyone say – “I can't bear the thought of having more good health”? Or this: “God, I definitely don't want any more money, just keep me from getting any more children." We have no right to accept some blessings and reject other blessings from God. In Proverbs 31:28, "Her children arise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." When was the last time your children or husband called you blessed? My prayer is that one day you will be called blessed by being fruitful and having all the children God wants to Bless you with.

If you are a sinner and want to get right with God, you can ask forgiveness right where you are by praying to Jesus (YaHshau) Christ (Messiah) and asking HIM to forgive you of your sins. If you would like someone to talk with or pray with, please feel free to CALL or Email me.

I love being a FRUITFUL woman and you can. too.

Coleen Sabin

In loving memory of our dear sister Coleen Sabin a worthy example of FAITH and GRACE in our HOLY and DIVINE SAVIOUR .

Thank you Lord for this beautiful woman and her love for edification of her fellow sisters in Christ.

A Wife of Noble Character, a Dedication to Coleen Sabin.

Our Purpose in Life as women should be exactly as the bible describes in Proverbs 31:10-31
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. She makes bed coverings for her bed;she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over her affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Coleen Sabin was married to Dale for 37 yrs, the mother of 9 children and grandmother to 11. A woman of faith and belief in YaHWeh. She studied the bible and practiced it in her daily life. She encouraged other young women to do the same. An accomplished seamstress with a business of offering other women the joy of modest dressing. Homeschooling her children and encouraging them to live accordingly to the words and commands of God in his Word.

Coleen Linda Feltman (Sabin) was born on April 6th, 1951 and passing into Glory Land on January 17, 2008.

Coleen Sabin authored an article about "What causes Children" explaining in her words the reasons why woman today are not finding or rejoicing in their rolls as mothers and wives.

You will find her article in the following post, " Don't you KNOW what causes CHILDREN"?

One last thought about the example of a Christian Woman:
In 1 Peter 3 :4-6 "Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in god used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear."

I know some women will argue that their is no power in submissiveness. In many ways they find it offensive and shameful if a woman is submissive to a man or her husband. As if it is demeaning or belittling of the woman to take such a lowly position. In fact they could not be closer to the truth. Their is much power and strength in obeying God's word for OUR lives. If a woman taps into the truth of God's word she will find the JOY of being a daughter of the KING and a daughter of Sarah.
I for one, would rather be known as a woman of FAITH and who followed God's word of being submissive to my husband and HEAD. As in 1 Corinthians 1:1-16; (paraphrasing) Believing that the head of man is Christ and the head of a woman is man and the head of Christ is God. Following that order if a woman prays or prophesies w/ her head uncovered she dishonors her head. So for that reason she should have a sign of authority on her head. I am not ashamed to wear such authority or to encourage other woman to do the same. After all, it should be our desire to challenge one another to live a righteous and holy life by faith and obedience in Christ our LORD.
As in 2 John 1:6; "And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
After all Jesus said in Mark 8: 38 "If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels.
With everything spoken and written, it is all in love for the edification of my fellow sisters in Christ. Blessings.... Isaiah 30:18 Blessed are all who wait for him!

So frequently we hear people say either in words or in e-mails, blessings or blessings in Jesus. I want to ask you what does it really mean to be a blessing. Is it just by our kindness and compassion towards one another, or is it more?
The only way we can know what blessings are, or who is blessed or how to be a blessing or how to be truly blessed is to look at the Bible and what God says.

Isaiah 30:18 Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

Consider the Sermon on the Mount. Mathew 5, When Jesus was speaking to the crowds and teaching them all the ways they can be BLESSED. If we live accordingly to his example we might understand how to really be blessed.

Biblically being blessed is completely opposite than the world's view of being blessed.
In fact many people I know, consider their children a blessing. Not so is the world's thought.

Children are a gift and a blessing from God.
Proverbs 20:7 The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him. And Proverbs 31:28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her;

Lets ask ourselves, do we actually consider waiting on God as a blessing. Think of the things you have either just recently prayed for or in the past have prayed for. What are currently waiting for? Hoping to see how God will answer that prayer request. I know personally I pray from my heart and hope that what I ask may be done.

As with the verse in Mathew 21:21-22 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was don to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, Go throw yourself into the sea, and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Praying for others is a blessing to me. Knowing that I may be helping them out by just communicating to my LORD on their behalf, that blesses me. I know that their are many around me who are hurting either outside or inside. Sometimes it makes one feel helpless as to how to assist those in need around us. The best way to be of the most help for those is to just offer up a prayer on their behalf. Believing that God will answer, and not worrying about how he will answer. After all he is God and HE knows best.

That is where the waiting comes in. We pray or follow God in hope of hearing or seeing him answer us. The thing is the wait can be longer than we expect. If the wait is too long will that dishearten us. No matter what the answer or the wait is, we need to be patient and thankful for everything God allows to happen to us.

Above all life is a blessing and we should be diligently sharing it with others and in many ways. The best gift any of us have been given is the Gift of eternal Life through Jesus our LORD.

My prayer and hope is that everyone will be blessed by just being a blessing to others. Try it today, take a moment and pray for someone else or a need for someone you know. You will find after praying for others how much you are encouraged in your spirit and feel like a blessing.

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. Mark 11:22

Welcome to our blog! It is our desire that everyone is encouraged to walk continually in Faith and fellowship, with Jesus Christ their Lord and Saviour.

This is our very first post on our new blog. I like to refer it to, as our maiden post. I am excited and a bit nervous since I have never done this before. I hope that through everything posted and mentioned on this blog, it will be a blessing to all who read and visit.

Just like in many homes their is a banner near the door, which reads; " May all who enter be blessed and as you leave may you be a blessing to others". It is my hearts desire to spread the love and joy of my life, which is Jesus my Lord.

If you are blessed by what you read or learn, please don't hesitate to share with all of those around you. It is my hope that just as Jesus gave us the command, to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel, "Mathew 28, that through this blog and sharing my faith that command may be accomplished.

So hop on board as we begin our voyage in faith and righteousness. Reminded by what Paul said in Romans 1:17, For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith".

Stand back, as we hoist the anchor and begin this blog journey. Into sharing our faith and uplifting others to grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus. Sailing together in this journey of faith, with righteousness and becoming one in spirit and in the family of God .

Rejoicing in Lord always, is uplifting to all of our hearts and spirits. So lets rejoice!
