Wow. I just watched a wonderful family movie that is just fabulous. It is another Fox Faith family movie, which was directed by Michael Landon Jr. What a powerful movie and such touching biblical overtones. The movie in reference is, "The Last Sin Eater". If you haven't seen it please try b/c you will not be disappointed. This movie has it all; mystery, love, betrayal, history, forgiveness and truth. The message of this movie is so powerful, that it just stays in your brain with many after thoughts. I am so glad my dh encouraged me to watch it.
I just have to share the tag line; this movie is about redemption and the only one capable of giving us true redemption is Jesus Christ. I have to share just a little part of a scene from this movie. In the middle or so the main character, a young girl, is in a cave talking to the other main character, a man. She shares an idea with him that is a bit saddening to him . If it is true what she says, then the last 20 yrs of his life was wasted and lived in vain. The sad thing was that he didn't want to believe, but if he did believe IT would change his life completely.I thought this to be so powerful, considering most people live their lives in vain and wasted on things that truely don't matter. If they could only believe in Jesus how their lives would change completely.
I don't want to discuss too much as to spoil those who haven't seen it. I have not seen a movie as wonderfully touching spiritually speaking, as this one did. I am amazed I even watched it considering I hardly watch any movies. Usually one in a great while. I enjoyed this movie so much that I am going to seek after the book. I would have to imagine that the book is either close to or better than the movie.
Just another reason why Christian families should support the Fox Faith Ministries. When we hear of movies coming out from their production company we should check them out and tell many others to do the same. It is sad that there aren't many other venues like this one. So if we want to encourage them to make more we need to support the ones already existing.
This movie has quickly become one of my favorites. The message was one that really touched me. The mystery part was saddening, but the ending was just beautiful.
I am not one to tell others what to do, but you need to see this movie. It will certainly become one of your favorites as well.

The power and wisdom of the Proverbs. (Part 2)
Today in our bible reading we read Luke 11 & 12 and Proverbs 20. Even though we may have read these same passages many times over, and many years ago it is always refreshing to see how God's word never changes and seems to be just what we need it be in our present situation. It is so good to know that no matter what struggle we face we have the power of God's word to stand on, to defend ourselves with and to cling to when all around us foundations crumble. God's word will never fall or fail to guide us. It is only when we fail to use it or rely on it's power for strengthening our lives and spirits.
Proverbs 11 : 25 & 30
25. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.
30. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
Proverbs 12 : 25-28
25. Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.
26. The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray.
27. The slothful man does not roast what he took in hunting, but diligence is man's precious possession.
28. In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.
Proverbs 13: 20-25
20. He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed.
21. Evil pursues sinners, but to the righteous, good shall be repaid.
22. A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
23. Much food is in the fallow ground of the poor, and for lack of justice there is waste.
24. He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly.
25. The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul, but the stomach of the wicked shall be in want.
Proverbs 14:1-2 & 25-27
1. Every wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.
2. He who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord, but he who is perverse in his ways despises Him.
25. A true witness delivers souls, but a deceitful witness speaks lies.
26. In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge.
27. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to avoid the snares of death.
Proverbs 15:1-3
1. A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
2. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.
3. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
Proverbs 16:7-9 & 31-33
7. When a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8. Better is a little with righteousness, than vast revenues without justice.
9. A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps
31. The silver-haired head is a crown of glory, if it is found in the way of righteousness.
32. He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
33. The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.
Proverbs 17:3 & 6
3. The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the hearts.
6. Children's children are the crown of old men, and the glory of children is their father.
Proverbs18: 19-24
19. A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, and contentions are like the bars of a castle.
20. A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth, and from the produce of his lips he shall be filled.
21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
22. He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.
23. The poor man uses entreaties, but the rich answers roughly.
24. A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

20. Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days.
21. There are many plans in a man's heart, Nevertheless the Lord's counsel that will stand.
22. What is desired in a man is kindness, and a poor man is better than a liar.
Proverbs 20:27-30
27. The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart.
28. Mercy and truth preserve the king, and by lovingkindness he upholds his throne.
29. The glory of young men is their strength, and the splendor of old men is their gray head.
30. Blows that hurt cleanse away evil, as do stripes the inner depths of the heart.
I have just highlighted verses that really spoke to my heart.
I hope you are in a habit of reading God's word daily. If you aren't, try to add a little bit of God's word into your day and make it a habit. You will see how much more energy and peace you have in your physical body.
The absolute power of the Word is so amazing. I feel so renewed and energetic when I make time to allow God to speak to me. I appreciate his correction.
If you think about it the Bible is the Best Self Help Book ever written.
We all know those kinds of books, how to conquer any ailment you might have is all in the book.
Plus the disclaimer, God never fails, nothing is impossible with God, Us + God equals the righteous majority.
Hope you have a very wonderful day and a blessed weekend!
P.S. Not to sound vain, but for awhile I had been greatly concerned about seeing a few gray hairs. Not to worry now, those grays are good, at least that is according to God's word. I just love reading new thoughts that may not have applied to my life the last time I read that passage, but now is sooo applicable.

FORGIVENESS. We all need it, so we should all be generously giving it to others.
As a mother I am continually teaching my children to be forgiving. In many situations an opportunity will arise and they will be challenged, how to handle the wrong against them. I have noticed it seems to be easier for children to forgive than for adults. I am sure it is b/c we are set in our ways and count the wrongs done against us. As adults we have practice holding grudges and storing up bitterness and resentment.
Children however, are not as hardened in their spirits. That is why in Mathew 19;14 But Jesus said," Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." As innocent and untainted by the world children are quick to love and forgive.
Saying "sorry" though should require just more than words but feeling and acting remorseful for our behavior. That is what this mom is trying to do, and seeing some evidence of success.
I am reminded of what I read a few days ago. In 1 Corinthians 13, we all know it as the "Love" chapter in the bible. As I was reading it I realized areas that revealed to me how I fail at truly being perfected in God's love.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-8a Love suffers long and is kind, love does not envy, love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
I know as I have been teaching my children to forgive, I must be the best teacher and by my example show them how to forgive. Even in the Lord's Prayer, Jesus gives us the example of how we should pray and what is expected of us. In Mathew 6:14 Jesus says,
"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."
We require forgiveness b/c we in Romans 3:23 "for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Since it is b/c of the sin in our lives we need God to forgive us. Not that we should be currently sinning. Just like Paul mentions in Romans 6:1-2 "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace should abound? Certainly not! How shall we who have died to sin live any longer in it?
As Christians we need to realize that sinning should not in be in our lifestyle of habits. In fact we should try everyday NOT to sin. But become more focused in living righteous lives and showing forth God's perfect Love and Forgiveness.

A Wife of Noble Character, a Dedication to Coleen Sabin.
Our Purpose in Life as women should be exactly as the bible describes in Proverbs 31:10-31
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. She makes bed coverings for her bed;she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over her affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Coleen Sabin was married to Dale for 37 yrs, the mother of 9 children and grandmother to 11. A woman of faith and belief in YaHWeh. She studied the bible and practiced it in her daily life. She encouraged other young women to do the same. An accomplished seamstress with a business of offering other women the joy of modest dressing. Homeschooling her children and encouraging them to live accordingly to the words and commands of God in his Word.
Coleen Linda Feltman (Sabin) was born on April 6th, 1951 and passing into Glory Land on January 17, 2008.
Coleen Sabin authored an article about "What causes Children" explaining in her words the reasons why woman today are not finding or rejoicing in their rolls as mothers and wives.
You will find her article in the following post, " Don't you KNOW what causes CHILDREN"?
One last thought about the example of a Christian Woman:
In 1 Peter 3 :4-6 "Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in god used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear."
I know some women will argue that their is no power in submissiveness. In many ways they find it offensive and shameful if a woman is submissive to a man or her husband. As if it is demeaning or belittling of the woman to take such a lowly position. In fact they could not be closer to the truth. Their is much power and strength in obeying God's word for OUR lives. If a woman taps into the truth of God's word she will find the JOY of being a daughter of the KING and a daughter of Sarah.
I for one, would rather be known as a woman of FAITH and who followed God's word of being submissive to my husband and HEAD. As in 1 Corinthians 1:1-16; (paraphrasing) Believing that the head of man is Christ and the head of a woman is man and the head of Christ is God. Following that order if a woman prays or prophesies w/ her head uncovered she dishonors her head. So for that reason she should have a sign of authority on her head. I am not ashamed to wear such authority or to encourage other woman to do the same. After all, it should be our desire to challenge one another to live a righteous and holy life by faith and obedience in Christ our LORD.
As in 2 John 1:6; "And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
After all Jesus said in Mark 8: 38 "If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels.
With everything spoken and written, it is all in love for the edification of my fellow sisters in Christ. In all loving kindness a daughter of Sarah, Crystal Smith a thankful and submissive wife to my dear husband Phil. Who is 39 yrs old today! Happy Birthday my dear husband and leader of faith for our family. I praise the Lord for such a gift to my life and a joy to be married to a humble servant of Christ.
